Located at an elevation of 672 meters, Renuka Hill Station is one of the well known hill stations in the Himachal Pradesh. Another interesting place is the Jataun which is around 5 kilometers from the lake. The Giri Hydel Project is the dam in Renuka which is also a popular sightseeing area in the hill station.
There are also a few interesting places nearby where you can visit from Renuka. There is a famous Gurudwara of Poanta Sahib on the bank of River Yamuna. This place is about 60 kilometers from Renuka. This place also has an historical importance. Guru Govind Sing fought his first battle Bhangani from here. He lived in this place for about four and half years.
How to reach the Renuka hill Station: you can take flight from Dehradun or Chandigarh to reach Renuka by air. Renuka is also linked by railroad with Dehradun, Chandigarh, Ambala and Pathankot.
